I worked mega haard this past weekend. Friday & Saturday night while my friends were out partying, I stayed in to work on some kicks for JayZ and Memphis Bleek who were rolling in to my little Glasgow City on Sunday night. Went to the Hotel after the concert, and linked with Memphis Bleek in the Phantom!! ooh I want to swap cars but I doubt my little ford would be tempting enough as a swap. Met with bleek, and I get this all the time - when I tell people I customize sneakers they look at me funny - yeh yeh I know, I dont look like a sneaker customizer… but what does a sneaker customizer really look like?

Anyway, gave the kicks to Bleek and he was really impressed with my work - so much so, that I had to pull an all nighter to get another pair done before he left town. So the next night, they were playing in Aberdeen which is a 3 hour drive away from Glasgow, they linked me up with guestlist for the concert. This is the second time I’ve seen JayZ live, he was out here last year, and he just keeps getting better for me. I linked with Bleek again after the Aberdeen show to hand over his heat sensitive ‘hide me’ customs. I thought it was great that he was asking me all sorts of questions about what I do, how long I’ve been doing it for and what I’ve achieved so far - He was really interested in what I do and says alot of people customize but not alot of people do it this well He also said that Jay really liked his chain reaction kicks and says I have a talent! THE MAN thinks I’m talented!!! wow. We’re going to keep in touch and I’m proud to say I’ll be hooking the R.O.C up with plenty more heat… Next is Freeway I gotta do a pair for him - yes I know I dont look like a customizer or a hip hop fan but dont judge a book by its cover people… R.O.C baby

So how was your weekend?

I’ve had a few fashion shows and photoshoots in the last year or so, and my favourite shoot has got to be the Seven Deadly Sins Shoot I did alongside the photographer Shaune McLaughlin www.shaunekiwi.com once we got the original concept down for the shoot, we put our heads together to come up with the theme for the images and I dont think it could have come out closer to what i had in mind. See if you can tell which image represents each sin - choice between wrath, pride, lust, envy, gluttony, greed and sloth.

You may already know me through sneaker forums, myspace, facebook or bebo, either for my artwork or my random outbursts lol… but for those of you new to all things QQ here is a little blurb on what I do.

‘The UK’s Best Customizing Designer’ Is the title I was given at the UK Urban Fashion Awards Held in London at the end of 2007 after a public vote over the summer of 07 with thousands of votes coming in from all over.

I first started customizing clothing many years ago and shifted my focus on to footwear in 2005, combining my love of art and fashion. I specialise in producing one off pieces of art, the main difference between myself and other artists, is that my canvas is shoes.

My work can be seen all over the globe on the worldwide Sneakerpimps tour www.sneakerpimps.net also I have work for sale and displayed through MILO Shoes & Gallery, San Diego CA (Grand Opening set for August 2008) YUME, Brooklyn NY, and CROWNS, Glasgow UK.

Some of the media coverage I have had includes channel 4, (4 talent, bite), itv local, 1xtra, Touch mag, heat mag, RWD mag and more along with local media. More coming soon! If you are interested in writing a feature on my work I would love to hear from you.

Did I mention my heat sensitive colorchange customs? In Feb 07 I uploaded a video of my Hunter v Hunted colorchange customs to youtube and the response has been fantastic. You can search for my heat sensitive vid’s on youtube, or stay tuned for the new video I have coming up on here soon.
