Diversitile Custom Clothing

These dunks were made for a good friend of ours from Train of Thought Clothing, a clothing company located in Miami. They create New York and 80’s retro style apparel. The shoes feature their logos including their “ToT” logo and ‘Train of Thought” logos.  The toe box and lower pannel inmatate New York subway tiles as whch they draw allot of their theme. The inside pannels show of a painterly sub train entrance wrapped with red nike swooshes to complete the theme. Check them out Trainofthoughtclothing.com.

These blazers are devoted to Michelangelo one of the master painters of his time. We wanted to immulate his attention to detail and overal iconic work. The shoe consists of two major parts of the sistine chapel ceiling called sybils. Most of the time you recognize just the main scene of God and adam, but we wanted to show another part of the ceiling. The detail consists of cracked marble accents on the check and through out the shoe. The insoles are hand painted and wearable. There are gold accents that are antique gold flake, also a custom marble box to end the theme.

Since the first version of the Dr. Dooms were a great custom, we had to create another. This custom was for a customer that wanted to Dr. Doom to display more of his powers. Since its the second version of the Dr. Dooms, they are a more futuristic custom, featuring  more uptodate Dr. Doom. The shoes have the metal with gold and green pannels, and glow in the dark lighting details on both shoes.

The shoe was created for the clash of the customizes battle that taking place on sole collector right now. The Dunk is inspired by Akuma, we wanted to show the overall determination and mysteriousness of Akuma himself. The Akuma symbol is a repeating feature which means “sky”. As far as colors, we wanted to show the deep oranges and browns of a far away training ground, and pinks of Akuma’s evil energy. The art on the shoes are composed in a continuous scene around the shoes. The shoe laces and lace locks are accents of the Akuma character. We also incorporated our logo with the Akuma symbol to create a Japanese inspired scroll on each tongue.

We had multiple requests for the DreamScape dunks, some of them even were guys. So we did this one using a different colorway that is more male but still has the same familiarity as the first DreamScapes. These feature a warmer colorway with orange as the base. They also feature a glow in the dark back panel, which is blue, green, and orange. We are definitely going to start perfecting the glow in the future. Enjoy!

Diversitile did a couple themed dunks in the past, but these are more simplistic, but still using details from the movie “Transformers.” The Barricade Dunk Highs were of course done for a transformers lover. And we thought they were a good take on the police car from the movie. The shoe includes similar black and white panels to replicate the police car. The mid panel includes the barricade police badge and the cop car number “643.” The bottom heal of the dunk carries the “911 emergency response” logo also. Barricade’s motto “to punish and enslave sits just below the top back panel. The touges include  Decepticon logos, and car tail lights complete with the license plate finish them off. Hope everyones New Year went off with a bang, ours did. Diversitile did a pair of custom forces for Marcus Jordan, Michael Jordan’s son. They were done as a present from a good friend that scoped us out. They were a fun project, and we were glad we could deliver. We used bronze, purple and black colorway with a basketball court pattern texture on the back pannel of the shoe. The toe box features a patient leather effect with a pattern under it. There are details on shoe including the “MJ” logo on the back with his signature and “# 5″ on the other shoe in bronze also.

One of the latest from Diversitile Custom Clothing are dunks called DreamScape dunks. The dunks with a psychedelic design featured on the panels. Theses shoes were just a visual representation of one of the artist’s dreams and was conveyed with the color pattern present. The shoes were a fun project from start to finish, simple but crazy.

Diversitile’s last custom shoe order turned out the be a great one. The order called for Diversitile to use all their talents to create metal platted Dr. Doom themed dunks. They are the kind of shoe that could be looked at as sculpture as well as th fine art. The shoes feature metal platted armour and screws on parts of the shoe complete with rust spots. Also the armour fades into the brondz and silver nike checks to finish them off.

Diversitile resently had a photoshoot for some of the shoe designs in our fall line, and we decided to post one the designs that we executed for the shoot. The original concept can be seen in the “store” gallery on our website. The Vine Blossom Dunks are designed with the mix of friendly but dangerous. On the back they feature a close up vine design with a monster peeping through. Keeping with the diversitile style, attention to detail was the focus. They are available at diversitile.com.
