Antonio Sant’Elia Dunks - Artists and Architects
Please forgive me, I’m still trying to figure out how to use this website/blog.
The following is part of the small booklet that comes with the shoes. It gives examples of some of the ways Nike’s Design Department has found ideas to build on. Although most of you may know about Tinker Hatfield’s affect on shoe technology, you might be interested in a few others.
Without further adieu, I give you the Sant’Elia Dunks.
The design for the front of the shoe directly relates to the font on the box. The font was inspired by a sculpture done by Umberto Boccioni; a futurist artist.

These are beautiful. It’s like what the rayguns want to be when they grow up, but better.
